Children and Family Action is a community organisation based in the seaside town of Withernsea:   Our aims are to advise the local community on the following.... Who manages us? We have a voluntary management committee made up from: Parent Members Local Voluntary sector Members Elected officers of the Council
What do we aim to do? Involve local people in volunteering through training,projects and events, which increase their chances to access paid work. To promote and support the out of school clubs, help develop child care provision in Withernsea and Southern Holderness. To enable groups to access resources and information around issues of childcare, benefits, training and employment. To consult with the local community to identify the childcare, training, employment and social needs of the local population and work with other agencies and volunteers to meet those needs.
How are we funded? We grant find for individual project funding to enable us to provide specific activities for children and families such as annual outings. We also have some contracted projects Some of our current partners are shown below
