What is Next Step?

Nextstep is a free, confidential face to face advice and guidance on training, learning and the world of work.
What can Next Step offer?
Just about everybody needs help with improving their skills, finding work or changing their job at some point in their lives. Your personal Next Step adviser can help you plan your future by linking your personal interests and skills to a job or career.

Your adviser will also help you: 

understand the job market
search and apply for jobs
find funding to help with learning costs
find out more about childcare issues and costs
develop your CV
find out if you can continue working while you train
improve your interview and presentation skills

Who can access a Next Step adviser?
You can use the service if you are:
Aged 20 or over 
Aged 18 or 19 and have been referred to next step by Jobcentre Plus
